Montreal, June 14, 2005 Readers of
ELLE Québec and
ELLE Canada magazines can now extend their pleasure and experience more
ELLE on-line. As of this week, the new
www.ellecanada.com and
www.ellequebec.com sites offer visitors more features than ever before. Women with a passion for style, fashion trends and beauty will now find on-line everything that sets
ELLE Canada and
ELLE Québec apart on newsstands. The
ELLE sites were produced by the new media team at Transcontinental Media and by Marcotte Multimédia, a company specializing in website design and programming.
We are delighted to be presenting this Web initiative, says Yves Daoust, Director of On-line Publishing at Transcontinental Media. It will address various beauty and fashion information needs which are increasingly important to our readers.
Catherine Gray, Editor-in-Chief of the Transcontinental Media sites for women, says the
ELLE sites are a wonderful online resource for women. Featuring exciting new tools that will enable Canadian women to stay on top of the hottest trends, ellecanada.com is a one-stop online destination for everything fashion- and beauty-related, she says. Its also the beginning of a fantastic community-building initiative. Using forums and poll questions, its a great way to communicate with our readers.
Each week, the new sites offer readers the best ideas in fashion and beauty. The new Shopping Guide (in partnership with YellowPages.ca) reveals the best shopping destinations across Canada. In the Ask
ELLE Canada section, you can ask fashion and beauty questions and get answers directly from industry professionals. The Fashion & Beauty City Guides spotlight the best spas, salons and boutiques as rated by the
ELLE team. Each month, discover the best home-grown Canadian fashion talent in the Canadian Designers Directory. And for astrology lovers, Georgia Nicols provides free, weekly horoscopes that are sure to delight.
Behind the scenes with ELLE Canada and ELLE Québec
With the new site launch,
ELLE Québec.com is taking the opportunity to present an exclusive video, in partnership with Sympatico.MSN.ca, Pecunia, EMI and
ColdPlay. This must-see video is produced behind the scenes with the magazines entire team and takes readers into the heart of fashion reporting. It will be featured in the fall in
ELLE Québecs pages and will include interviews with fashion directors, photographers, models, and stylists.
Exciting launch contest
To mark this event,
ELLE Canada.com in cooperation with EMI, will offer visitors the chance to win a three-day trip to Europe, where winners will attend a
ColdPlay concert and meet the musicians! Full contest details are available on the
