LesAffaires.com launches Carrefour PME, a portal for
Quebec business projects and opportunities
Montreal, December 13, 2004 – The weekly business
newspaper Les Affaires and the www.lesaffaires.com
website announced today the launch of a new commercial
information service (paper and Web) covering Quebec business
projects and opportunities. The new service can be found
on page 25 of the newspaper or online at www.lesaffaires.com/carrefourpme/.
It is produced in partnership with Relationnel Canada.
“This media initiative will allow companies, entrepreneurs
and investors to communicate information about their business
projects more extensively, creating new business opportunities,”
says Yves Daoust, General Manager of new media at Transcontinental
Media. “Carrefour PME is more than a classified
advertising site. You can find complete business projects
related to the purchase or sale of companies; it can help
you search for financing or partners, and give you information
on the availability of risk capital funds.”
With the new Carrefour PME service now on line on the
www.lesaffaires.com site, companies and entrepreneurs
can also identify business advisers who will assist them
in starting up or moving ahead with their business projects.
A database of more than 1,000 consulting firms is available
on the site.
Les Affaires publisher Jean-Paul Gagné says
the newspaper “is continuously innovating to be
able to offer the economic or financial information people
need. Providing broader exposure to business opportunities
and projects in Quebec is, beyond a doubt, a pressing
requirement to allow companies to do business at a more
rapid pace.”
Philippe Racine, President of Relationnel Canada, sees
the complementarity between Web and paper as a unique
offer for Quebec companies. “Connecting interactively
also improves the chances of success for entrepreneurs’
business projects.”
